RCD Espanyol would have got a lot more attention if it was not located 2 km from the Big brother FC Barcelona. In 2007 FC Barcelona got only 1 point in the two matches against RCD Espanyol. In the second to last game in the season ending in June 2007 Tamudo (icon in RCD Espanyol) scored an equalizer in the 85 th minute taking the gold out of FC Barcelonas hands,and giving it to Madrid that equalized one minute later at Santiago Bernabeu.
