Ramon Casas and Santiago Rusinyol - Sitges most important cultural history
After being back in Catalonia again after many years in Paris, Casas and Rusinyol started their own artist association. The meeting point in Barcelona was at the restaurant Cuatre Gats, while the palace that Rusinyol bought in Sitges became the “headquarter”. The young Pablo Picasso was also within this association. The menu at Quatre Gats is painted by the one that afterward obviously became the most famous artist.
To visit the palace behind the church in the centre of Sitges is as nice experience to spend the afternoon with.
