The old town in Lisbon consist of different parts. Alfama with its fort is one of them
If you want something less commercial, you can go to the old town of Lisbon and eat grilled sardines at street restaurant, drink white wine and end the evening listening to a melancholic fado singer. This is strongly recommended.
This is one of our favourite plans for a very good evening; some others maybe prefer something more”modern”. It is a lot of areas in Lisbon that are perfect for the ones who want fancy bars and designed restaurants, but the old town is although the most interesting part. It is actually a bit unreal, but you get a feeling of experience something genuine and untouched in this city. It is actually something that you can’t say in words. Milan, Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna, Paris, Firenze, London etcetera are very beautiful, but the adventure is not the same.
