Costa Brava, Barcelona, Mallorca and Lisbon are all cultural interesting
Iberia has not always been connected to culture. The main reason of travelling to Iberia was before just the good food, the climate and the low prices. This reason has changed for many of the people that have been travelling around the Peninsula. It can be a great adventure for the traveller that discover that the cultural treasures here are as good as in Toscana or in Provence, but without the enormous tourist lines.
All of the destinations are interesting in their own way. Once upon a time this was the middle point of the world, with a still ongoing culture. When Portugal and Spain divided South and North America between each other they took the Azoreans as a starting point, according to how many sea miles it was from there. It was a very interesting memorial monument from 400 years before Christ until 1900 years after Christ.
