Costa Brava – an infinite of highlights from the middle age
Peralada: Is a small middle age village with its own castle. Inside the castle we have organized dinners for customers and also received guests at the casino which is one of the most elegant in Europe. Peralada (situated approximately 10 minutes from Roses) is a very famous wine district. Wine tasting at the Castell de Peralada starts with a display of the vine cellar, then a visit in the castles own church and in the old library. The area is especially famous for its cava, this areas champagne.
Arcs Monells: Is a nice and small village at the countryside with good restaurants and a beautiful hotel, which is situated in a small mansion from the middle age (see the picture at this side).
St. Pere de Rodes: This is an old monastery from the year 1000. It is situated close to Cap Creus (10 minutes from Roses there SpainActive is working). From the monastery, which today is a museum, you can se out over the Mediterranean Sea in one direction and to the snow covered Pyrenees in the other direction.
