IBERIANS, the people who lived in Spain 3500 years ago
The Iberians, and the following Iberian Celts, were a more developed civilisation than people has been thinking.
The best preserved village in which you can see evidence from these peoples activities is Ullastret. Here you can observe the very old street structure. The almost 3500 year old village has a complete defence system with water tanks in the ground and circular tower. The very exciting museum shows the objects that have been found in the continuing excavations. The area was one of the corners in a triangular trade that was going on in the Mediterranean Sea, with ceramic, that still today is a living culture, slaves from North Africa and silk and species from Asia.
Come here and see everything yourself.
