The Granollers Cup has become a hot topic. It is a major international handball tournament has become very popular, in 2010 there were 233 teams from 15 different countries. Granollers, located just north of Barcelona, was the official venue for the 1992 Olympics handball competition and has a long tradition of handball. Our teams will be staying in Lloret de Mar, a beautiful coastal town on the Costa Brava that has a great tourism infrastructure and beaches. The hotels are mostly 3 stars and have a central location.

The tournament is from 27th June to 1st of July and is organized by one of the best Spanish handball clubs, Club Balonmano Granollers.

Program for turneringen og krav til deltagerne

After our own experience from earlier handball trips we have added an extra day before the tournament to train a bit, get acquaintedwith the place, get rid jetleg and enjoy yourself a bit. You can drop one day and reduce the price by 45 Euros.

The tournament includes the opening ceremony, and then four days of qualifying matches followed by finals, awards ceremony, and closing ceremony. The guide will meet you at the airport and help with check-in and registration at the tournament's first day. Most matches are played indoors but a few games can be played outdoors. The games are 2x15 minutes. All teams must have proof of their european health card/insurance.

Transport

The package include airport pick up and delivery and transport to and from the hotel and the tournament everyday. Additional bus trips can be planned for an additional costs.

Hotel

All the hotels we deal with are centrally located within walking distance from the beach of Lloret de Mar. We use a double room unless otherwise agreed with the club. Offer applies to half board. It is a much nicer experience to be in Lloret de Mar AT THE BEACH THAN TO LIVE In INLAND OR GRANOLLERS. Lloret is a FINE SMALL TOWN with a pedestrian area, beach promenade, and lots of free time activities.
