Roses, the Mediterranean town where the Pyrinees meets the sea

Roses is a charming town with a long and beautiful beach promenade. On clear days it is possible to sea the Pyrinees in the distance. It is a town of 40000 inhabitants and hence has a certain offer when it comes to shopping, restaurants and services. The hotel SpainActive is using is located on the promenade itself. It is approximately 2 minutes to walk to the main square. Crossing the street behind the hotel is the enormous ciutadell (fortress) built in 1539 to defend the town

The beach promenade and the streets behind are full of offers if you want to enjoy a beer after the end of the day. Even so it is easy to find this town very calm and relaxing giving you the opportunity to focus on what you came for. Empuries , which is 5 minutes away is more action for the one that is looking for that. Some clubs are enjoying this liberty on the last night.
